Welcome to Aquarius Divers!
Aquarius Dive Shop has been in continuous operation since 1970 and is a pillar of the Monterey dive scene. We are proud to have been approved as a PADI 5-Star Instructor Development Center and offer recreational dive training at all levels from beginning Open Water through PADI IDC Staff Instructor, including Specialty Instructor and EFR Instructor. We are committed to provide thorough, safe, and enjoyable dive training which is in full compliance with all PADI training standards. We are the only PADI dive center in Monterey with a full-time Course Director on staff.

commitment to our customers is that we will work hard to win their vote of
confidence every year!
We offer a complete line of top-quality equipment for sale, provide factory-authorized service on everything we sell, and have a well-stocked inventory of rental equipment. We provide hyper-clean air for ALL air fills (at no extra charge) and have banked EANx32 available for while-you-wait fills. We can do custom Nitrox blends at up to 50%, provided you supply an oxygen-cleaned cylinder. We frequently take certified divers who are new to the area on guided tours to introduce them to the beauty of the kelp forests and acquaint them with safety considerations which are unique to shore diving in the Monterey area.
Please keep talking to us about your diving needs, whether it be equipment, classes, travel, or whatever. We do listen to what our customers tell us they want, and wherever possible we will adapt the store's operations to fill those needs.

Winning this rating for the dive shop indicates that PADI has reviewed our entire operation and certified our adherence to the highest standards expected of a dive shop. You probably have been to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and have some idea what lies beneath the surface of the seas around Monterey Bay. Truly, the magic of the underwater world we have right in our own backyard far exceeds what can be displayed in an aquarium.If you have not experienced the underwater world first hand, you have only an inkling of what awaits you beneath the surface of Monterey Bay. As Jacques Cousteau once said, "going to the sea and not being able to dive is just like going to the circus and then having to stand on the outside of the tent!"

You can begin you scuba lessons TODAY if you opt for PADI eLearning and begin your scuba diving lessons on-line. This should be of particular interest to people who don't live near Monterey and would have difficulty coming in for the three evening class sessions but who can come to Monterey for the pool weekend and for the ocean dive weekend.
